Collision Repair

They work with every insurance company and use an automated estimating system that is connected to the insurance companies to insure quality and accurate estimates. Sometimes customers want to upgrade their vehicle, but that is not covered by insurance. The goal of Mike’s Collision is to make your vehicle as good, if not better than, pre-accident condition. Pictures are taken with a digital camera and emailed to the insurance company and/or your own email address; and they can get your estimate to you and your insurance company in any technological fashion you require.

Auto Body Repair Process
All of Mike’s employees are I-Car trained and ASE certified, so your auto body repair is done with the latest techniques whether it is repaired, replaced or paintless-dent repaired. With the latest frame equipment, they can repair your frame and unibody to pre-accident condition. You can expect a great paint job as they offer a painting process that is the latest state-of-the-art down draft spray bake booth. With their front & 4-wheel computerized Hunter 311 alignment system, you’ll be back to a smooth ride. They have their own detail department to insure your vehicle is cleaned before it’s delivered. And their 3-person inspection system in conjunction with the customer service inquiry helps maintain top quality repair of your vehicle. Mike’s has their own vehicles available while repairs are done on your vehicle, or if they are all out to other customers, they can get you a vehicle from a rental firm that all insurance companies work with.

Auto Painting
Mike’s Collision uses the best paints available, a European paint called Standox developed in 1955, the leader in automotive refinishing. Each vehicle is carefully repaired and then goes to the paint department. Repaired spots will have a primer applied to finish the repair process, and will then get sanded with a 500 grit sandpaper, and the adjacent panels get scuff. Next a sealer gets sprayed on with at least 2 to 3 base coats (if it’s a pearl color, there is an additional 2-3 coats of a mid-color applied). Then a final 2 to 3 coats of clear are applied. And, depending on the quality the customer desires, color sanding and a re-clear coating can be done. Mike’s Collision has the finest state-of-the-art spray bake down draft paint booth to insure the best quality paint job available. After the clear coat is sprayed on, the paint gets baked at 160 degrees for 30 minutes to insure factory quality paint. Mike’s is so sure of their quality they have a lifetime guarantee on their paint from fading or peeling. And a color match is a MUST at Mike’s Collision.

Glass Replacement
Mike’s Collision is connected to every insurance company for glass replacement and windshield repair. They install OEM glass, offer competitive prices, use the latest in urethane windshield sealant, and have a guarantee on leaks.

Frame & Unibody Repair
Mike’s has the latest in frame & unibody repair, with two Chief EZ Liner frame racks and a continental measuring system. They have all the factory specs and measurements to insure your vehicle is back to pre-accident condition. They have Chief EZ Liner trained frame and unibody repair technicians, who are also I-car trained for sectioning and replacement of frames or unibodies. And, the welding technicians are I-Car certified as well to insure the new parts are welded just as they do at the factory. When the repairs are done the vehicle gets corrosion protection and the final inspection is done on the Hunter 311 4-wheel alignment system.
